I drove all night to get to Brookings, Oregon, from Camp Pendleton. Got to the hunting spot, set up camp, made sure everything was good.
On the 3rd day of a 2 week hunt it happened. I walked into a clearing and there was a big bull! We saw each other at the exact same moment.
Not quite sure what I was, he came to investigate. He walked to within 35 yards and I made a perfect 35 yard shot.

I thought I had a snag, but after a 25 minute fight with so called "snag", I found out it was a 44lb salmon!
It was an amazing week to say the least.
Jeremy!

Oh, and I think if you were driving from Camp Pendleton, you must be in the Marines (???)
If so, thank you so much for your service!
Yes I am a Marine. Thank you for your kind words. Thanks for posting my pictures. That was the shortened version of the hunt. It was really exciting. One of the best weekends of my life....
