Big Fall Chinooks from Oregon's Salmon River

Chinook Salmon from Oregon's Salmon River - 44 inches in length, 24 inches around.

Well, after years of being skunked on the Chinooks, Oregon's Salmon River finally gave one up on 11/10/11.

It was getting dark out, so I switched over to 3 corkies and a piece of yarn. Got the corkies glowing- still nothing. Then I put on some Pro Cure Bloody Tuna. After about 3 casts..... nothing- or so I thought!

As I was reeling in slack, I thought, "something's weird here," so I did a hook set and WHAM!

After 25 minutes of fight, this big buck said, I surrender to you.

It goes in the smoker early next week! :)
